MASPEX 2013 – the first secondary property exhibition in Malaysia
Malaysian Secondary Property Exhibition (MASPEX) 2013 is a property exhibition that is a one of its kind, being limited to only the exhibition and sales of secondary properties. Organised by the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA), MASPEX proves to be a different and innovative exhibition.
Most property related exhibitions are focused on primary properties, i.e. properties straight from the developers, being offered for sale by the developers themselves. All booths at MASPEX are selling only secondary properties in mature locations.
Based on the trend of the last two years, properties being offered for sale by developers have received unprecedented demand. Most of these properties are high priced because of their locations, designs and to a large extent, the successful branding of the developer. Similar secondary properties have not enjoyed these high prices and demand, thus making them slightly behind in terms of value.
Visitors to MASPEX 2013 can expect to discover great deals to properties in matured, well sought after location at fantastic bargains. They will not only be able to shop for their dream property but will also be able to seek the services of other property related professionals in MIEA. Various property-related services will also be available to visitors.
Among the services available are valuation help desks, manned by a reputable firm of chartered valuation surveyors. Visitors will be able to get opinions on the value of any property at the exhibition. They can also seek professional opinions from the valuers on their own properties. The valuers will also be able to provide consultancy services on property management and other property related issues.
Another service being offered by MIEA is the Maybank help desk, where visitors will be able to consult with the mortgage officers from Maybank on their financial needs when purchasing a property. Working with the valuers, these mortgage consultants will be able to give estimates via the loans each buyer will be eligible for.
There will also be an EPF Kiosk for visitors to check on the current status of their EPF accounts and see how much they are able to withdraw from their EPF accounts towards the property purchase.
Another interesting feature is the Insurance help desk. Manned by qualified personnel from QBE Insurance, visitors will be able to consult on all their household insurance needs.
During the three-day event, there will be scheduled talks on property outlook, property hot spots and even on Feng Shui.
MASPEX 2013 will be held at the concourse of the Tropicana City Mall from April 12 to April 14 from 10am to 8pm. For more information on the event, contact Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) at 03-7960 2577.
